I LOVE lifestyle sessions especially when there are toddlers involved. They do so much better in their own space. I can take a little more time to get to know them and they enjoy showing me their room and favorite books and toys. I get genuine in the moment smiles and emotion. I am often asked (by them) to stay for naptime to read a book or for lunch! I adore toddlers and their love for life.

Meet Joanna, Scott and Josie. Josie is about to be a big sister and is anticipating the moment greatly. Maybe not as much as mommy and daddy though.

Joanna and Scott started trying to have a baby about two years into their marriage.  This turned into a long, stressful, and expensive endeavor.  After 5 years, 5 rounds of IVF, and 2 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy, the finally had Josephine.  She was a dream come true.

They always wanted more than 1 child, but thought she might be their only one.  In 2017, they decided to try again for another child.  Joanna took some fertility meds and tried to get healthier to get pregnant.  After a year of trying, they decided to try one more round of IVF to add another baby to their family.  She ordered all of the medications and scheduled everything. It was just a matter of waiting for the right timing to begin.  Low and behold, they went to the doctor to start their IVF cycle and found out Joanna was almost 8 weeks pregnant naturally with another child. They were shocked, thrilled, and scared that something would be wrong.  All tests have come back perfectly and they found out Josie would be having a sister.  

Joanna told me she feels really blessed to get to carry and deliver another baby.  She knows how many women struggle to get pregnant and it never happens for them -- and she got to do it twice.  It's been a long journey to get here, but they feel like this will complete their family.  Three daughters, Krystal (age 23), Josie (3), and a Baby Girl Barnes.
