Frozen in Time

Ice and snow covered trees and bushes first thing in the morning glisten in the crisp air.

The sun is big and bright and orange. It resembles a sun setting and casts this warm glow over the brilliant white snow.

There isn't a cloud in the blue sky and the moon is still as bright as can be.

The very reason it has been so cold.

The afternoon gives way to clouds and the gray skies are filled with fluffy floating snowflakes.

The air feels muffled and silent.

In that moment, the only sounds are distant snow blowers.

I froze my face this week getting out first thing in the morning to capture the beauty in this frigid arctic cold in Chicago right now.
